MPS Sägen
He was accompanied by key decision-makers such as VG Mayor Joachim Weber, Reinhilde Willems (Trier Employment Agency), Albrecht Ehses (Trier Chamber of Commerce), and Dr. Matthias Schwalbach (Trier Chamber of Crafts).
The event began with a factory tour where we showcased our modern production facilities and innovative sawing technology. Managing Director Martin Pott provided insights into the company’s history, which was founded in 1987 and is now one of the leading manufacturers of sawing technology in Europe, employing 50 people worldwide.
During the subsequent discussion, we addressed current challenges facing medium-sized businesses, such as the shortage of skilled workers and increasing competition, particularly from China. We also discussed our future plans, including business expansions and process optimizations, to continue meeting the growing demands of our customers.
District Administrator Metzdorf emphasized the importance of such visits: “Dialogue with companies like MPS Sägen is crucial for finding solutions to current problems and driving the region forward.”
We thank the Trier-Saarburg Economic Development Agency and all participants for their visit and constructive exchange. Meetings like these are vital for us to actively shape the future of our region together.
