MPS Sägen GmbH, founded by Mr. Martin Pott, is a company with a sense of tradition whose roots are in Remscheid, a German city made famous by its tool manufacturing industry. Throughout the years, MPS has grown into one of the largest saw blade manufacturers in the world and earned a worldwide reputation for having the highest standards for its own products. * 1987
Foundation of company by Mr. Martin Pott in Remscheid. Set up of manufacture and sale of jigsaw and sabre saw blades.
* 1996
Move from Remscheid to Wasserliesch (Trier) into a newly-erected production and administration building.
The product range is expanded to hole saws and circular saw blades.
* 1998
An on-site research and development department is established.
* 2000
Rapid growth makes expansion of the manufacturing capacity necessary.
* 2002
Foundation of LIGNUM Sägen GmbH, specialist in top-quality handsaws. Separation from partner Mr.Hönscheid.
* 2003
Establishment of a logistics center and the expansion of the administrative wing in order to keep up with the growth in the administrative sector.
* 2004
Acquistion of competitor D+N Druckenbacher GmbH, Ofterdingen. Incorporation into LIGNUM Sägen GmbH.
* 2006
Foundation of D+N Sägen-und Werkzeugfabrik GmbH
